FAQ

Why and when to take General English classes?

General English is the ideal choice for anyone who wants to build a solid language foundation and gradually gain confidence in everyday communication. These classes develop all four basic language skills – reading, listening, speaking and writing – in equal measure. Students build a solid foundation on which they can build later – for example, when moving on to vocational English or preparing for language exams. General English classes are recommended for students who do not have a specific goal (e.g. business language, test) but want to improve naturally in everything.

How long will it take me to level up?

Progression to a higher level is individual, but the standard path for a student is one language level per school year /2 semesters/ in group lessons, i.e. 64 x 60 min. lessons.

Why is it necessary to test yourself?

Based on your test result, we can place you in a course according to your current level. The test is a prerequisite for inclusion in group instruction.

I'm a complete beginner, do I need to take a test?

If you are a complete beginner and have no background in English, there is no need to take the test. You will be automatically enrolled in the course at level A1.

Can you assign me a native speaker for my lessons?

For levels higher than B1+ we automatically assign a foreign tutor, for lower levels it is individual.

How does clock recall work?

If necessary, the lesson can be cancelled no later than 12.00. the previous working day. All the rules for the organisation of the lessons are given to the students at the beginning of the course.

Can students studying in a group substitute an individual lesson?

No Absences in group instruction cannot be made up individually. A refund of the lesson is only possible if the lesson is cancelled by the whole group.

How do I pay for the course?

Payment for the course is based on the order – either by bank transfer or by credit card. After creating an order, you choose your preferred payment method. In individual cases, payment in instalments is also possible by agreement.

Think about having branches in other parts of Slovakia too.
