About course

The Proficient English course is designed for students who already have a very high level of English proficiency and want to progress from being a very good user of the language to a truly advanced user. At this level, it is no longer just about correctness, but also about precision, naturalness, and the ability to choose the appropriate way of expressing oneself according to the specific context.

During the course, we will focus on some of the more complex aspects of English and develop a more sophisticated language appropriate for various communicative situations. We will examine how language functions in real-world contexts and seek more precise, natural, and appropriate ways to express what we want to say.

This course isn’t about covering more and more material. It’s about striving for better English. We’ll work with authentic materials and develop all four language skills—speaking, writing, listening, and reading.

The course is based on active participation, openness, and a willingness to think about language a little more deeply. You can expect discussions, work with authentic materials, and opportunities to explore how to use English even more precisely and naturally. And since even challenging English becomes easier when approached with a sense of perspective, humor is a welcome part of the course.

Who is the course for

This course is designed for students at a very advanced level of English who already use the language with confidence but wish to further refine their language skills. It is suitable for those who want to better understand the subtle nuances of the language, develop a more sophisticated way of expressing themselves, and use English naturally and accurately in various contexts.

What you will get from this course?

Testimonials

For me, you are the best language school in Slovakia. I would actually prefer face to face classes, but then I would not have the opportunity to have sessions with Sam, who is a fantastic teacher. Think about having branches in other parts of Slovakia too. For example in Myjava or Senica districts, there is no language school of your quality, and adults as well as pupils at primary and secondary schools would need your services along their path of education.
