Coaching with us is not only for future professional coaches. We see it as a tool that helps to better understand yourself and others, improves communication and opens the door to effective collaboration. That’s why we offer courses that combine coaching, mentoring and language development in English. Whether you want to become a certified coach, improve your communication and management skills, practice your professional English in the context of coaching, or develop with a certified coach, you will find a programme tailored to your needs with us.
At The Bridge, we believe that human development cannot be artificially divided into professional and personal. Coaching is about working with the whole individual – their values, relationships, work and life goals. The courses therefore do not separate “business coaching” from “life coaching”, but offer a broad and flexible view of personal growth. Whether you’re a manager looking to better lead your team, a professional looking for new ways to solve problems, or someone who wants to communicate more effectively in English – our approach will support you in any direction.
In 2020, we became the first language school in Slovakia to receive international accreditation from EAQUALS, and we remain the only one in the country. EAQUALS is a guarantor of quality in language education for schools operating in an international environment.
I was very interested in the fact that the Bridge offers international certification as well as lecturers and assessors who come from the UK. So, the combination of improving my coaching skills and also advancing my English was a deciding factor. I was curious to see how I could actually combine this with my coaching skills and tools. I was pleasantly surprised that the lecturers are amazing and the group that gathered here is great. I also really appreciate that you don’t have to look for clients yourself to gain experience, because the school has a large pool of volunteers. They find out what coaching is all about and we gain experience. At the same time, they are often people from abroad, so English is completely natural. I think Mike and Andrea are a great team. Mike has mentoring and sharing his experience in his blood. Andrea is very organized and prepared. She can anticipate many things in advance and take care of them so that they work properly. Even before today’s meeting, I said to myself that organizing everything, i.e., the final exam, the volunteers we will be coaching during it, securing an evaluator from England, and all at the same time, is something I take my hat off to.
The whole team at the Bridge were absolutely wonderful and they genuinely care about their students and teachers. Andrea Záhumenská, the course trainer, excelled in using her expertise and guidance to make the learning experience engaging. Along with Emma Wyatt and Klaudia Bednárová, they all provided valuable and eye-opening sessions!
I achieved the skills I wanted to acquire, while understanding that the learning process is permanent. I think the frequency of the sessions was optimal, and my personal work and my coaching sessions with clients helped me to make significant progress. What I appreciate the most about the course are the pedagogy, the open minded discussions, the learning atmosphere and the team spirit. I have reached around 120 hours of coaching and plan to continue coaching in my company to help young managers progress. Andrea and Mike are excellent! ! They complement each other wonderfully, offer a high level of support and are always open to discussion.
