Julia Mena Dobson is an ELT teacher, teacher trainer, and author. She specializes in Early Years, Young Learners, and Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). Based in Córdoba, Spain, Julia began her career as a teacher and as a department coordinator for the Early Years before starting her freelance role.
She is a regular conference speaker and international trainer. Julia collaborates with institutions such as NILE and ELT Consultants on British Council Projects across the globe. Additionally, she has created and delivered her own course on teaching CLIL in Primary education to teachers in the UK.
Her background in Fine Art has enabled her to combine her passion for art and teaching in her work. This interest has led to the development of diverse ELT and CLIL materials, including a recently published series of six Arts and Crafts primary CLIL books for Oxford University Press.
Julia's commitment to the holistic education of young learners comes across in the creation of coursebooks which emphasise creativity, and self-expression whilst ensuring the values of equity, diversity and inclusion.
