About course

So that "Present Perfect" and "Past Simple" are no longer confused and we can tell our friends more about our holiday than "It was fine".

Throughout the course you review and reinforce the grammar rules you already know, including tenses, compound sentences, and the use of modal verbs. Expand your vocabulary in areas such as work, interests, travel, culture, etc. Learn new phrases that will enrich your language - practising them in real conversations so that they become natural for you to use. On top of that you'll also work systematically to improve your written communication in different styles.

Work with authentic texts and audio recordings to improve your understanding of written and spoken English. You'll no longer just read textbooks, but also simplified books and newspaper articles. You'll listen to real conversations, podcasts or watch videos - all to reinforce quick understanding of English in real-life or work situations.

In our intermediate courses we focus on gaining fluency, correct pronunciation, and the ability to communicate effectively. It is important for you to learn not to wait "until you know", but to put into practice what you already know. Group discussions and interactive games will help you do this, so you will experience a lot of them on this course.

Odilia Tirone

Odilia was born in Italy but has lived and travelled across Europe a lot during her studies. She has a master’s degree in Translation, but found her true calling in teaching, sharing her experience and knowledge with others. So, in September 2024, she became an English teacher.

Besides teaching and travelling, she loves painting. She’s held three art exhibitions in different cities in Italy, including an individual one as well as with other Italian artists. Don’t ask her to choose between a lazy Sunday afternoon with her cat or a Sunday morning bike trip outdoors, she won’t be able to choose between them easily.

She believes great communication is the key to success, that’s why she does her best to create a friendly and supportive environment for her students to help them thrive.

Think about having branches in other parts of Slovakia too.
