Elena comes from a small town in Kansas and later moved to Colorado to study at university. She has a deep love for languages, cultures and the stories they carry. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, learning new languages and practical skills, playing the piano, running, playing volleyball and exploring new places and cafés. She brings curiosity, warmth and enthusiasm into everything she does and believes learning should always be both meaningful and fun.

Elena is an American English teacher currently completing her BA in German and European Studies. Her interest in languages began in childhood and grew through study-abroad experiences across Europe, including time in Germany and Slovakia. She has completed TEFL course and coaching skills for teachers course and has experience working with students of all ages. She has been a teacher at The Bridge since 2026.

Elena enjoys connecting language learning to real life and is particularly interested in the relationship between language, identity, culture and community. In her lessons, she creates a safe and supportive space where students can feel comfortable making mistakes, trying new things and building confidence. She adapts her teaching to individual goals and believes in learning through curiosity, communication and exploration.
