This course helps educators bring sustainability to life by using practical activities, interactive projects, and hands-on tools that make learning about the environment engaging and relevant. Rather than just sharing facts, it’s about inspiring students to think critically and systematically and feel empowered to take action in their own communities. It encourages a positive, can-do mindset that motivates students to explore solutions and make a difference.
As teachers, we hold a unique and powerful opportunity to equip learners not only with knowledge but with the essential language and skills needed to engage meaningfully with the climate crisis in their own communities and contexts. This comprehensive one-week training course is designed to empower educators with the knowledge, skills, and pedagogical techniques required to integrate sustainability education into their teaching practices effectively. The course focuses on equipping teachers across disciplines—science, geography, languages, and more— with innovative, practical methods and tools to engage students in meaningful exploration of environmental issues, encouraging deep learning, reflection, proactive attitudes and behaviors toward achieving a sustainable future.

How the course works:
The training is experiential and collaborative, with participants engaging in role plays, group problem-solving, site visits, and reflective discussions. The course adapts to diverse educational settings, ensuring that all teachers gain practical ideas and resources ready to implement from day one.
Supportive peer interaction and continuous feedback create a vibrant environment for professional growth and network building. The trainer acts mainly as a facilitator, guiding the process rather than delivering content in a traditional way.
After the course:
Participants receive a set of teaching materials and resources designed for diverse classrooms, a certificate recognized by Erasmus+, and ongoing access to a community of educators committed to advancing sustainability education.
The course is designed for teachers of all school levels and subjects who want to effectively integrate sustainability education into their teaching. It suits both experienced and new educators seeking practical tools and methods to engage students actively in environmental topics, develop their critical thinking, and foster responsible behavior towards the environment. As the materials are in English, participants must have a minimum B1 level.
