These are important in preparing students to confront climate change, populism, fake news, inequality, and the overall complexities of the modern world. About course

The 5-day intensive course CLIL in the Context of Global Education offers participants a unique opportunity to explore the link between CLIL methodology and global issues through hands-on teaching practices. It is suitable for those who want to get acquainted with the principles of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), but also for those who already know and use these practices.

During the program participants are immersed in a range of activities designed to deepen their understanding of the CLIL framework, the principles it uses, and how to plan the phases and procedures of a lesson delivered within the framework. Explore how to design a CLIL-led learning project, and what is required for its successful implementation. CLIL methodology will be closely linked to the current challenges of global and intercultural education on this course, so we will learn the theoretical background and together create practical examples of how to incorporate content related to global education into our CLIL lessons.

The course will include many practical exercises on how to deliver CLIL and global education topics in an engaging and meaningful way of using the teaching of other subjects to develop English language skills, and how in turn to support learning in a variety of other subjects through English lessons. A large helping of modern interactive teaching practices awaits you, which will make your pupils see learning as an adventure. It is the CLIL approach combined with global education topics that will best prepare your pupils to explore today's complex realities.

At the end of the course you will receive the Certificate of Attendance and Europass Mobility document, or any other document your organisation/school requires to submit for applying Erasmus+ programme.

Testimonials

The course with Mike and Andrea has really given me so much to my teaching career/practice and personal life. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to take it and meet so many amazing people. The delivery of the workshops, the quality of the content, the activites, the accommodation, the food and, of course, the attitude of the trainers was of a really high standard.
