About course

A Conference for Teachers of English

The Teachers’ Day is a one-day conference for teachers of English, taking place on 22 March 2025 at the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology STU on Radlinského 9 in Bratislava. The aim of the conference is to share experience and knowledge, as well as to create space for meeting colleagues and friends.

At the same time, the conference represents the ideas of HLT - humanizing language teaching, since the concept of humanism is evolving beyond individuals to all living things, communities and nature. The role of the teacher does not lie only in sharing knowledge. The teacher and the student influence each other on a personal level too, and the teaching and learning process is bi-directional and enables the growth of both of them.

We proudly present Jon Hird from the University of Oxford is the keynote speaker, and both in his lecture and workshop he will focus on the role of grammar in communication. You can also attend workshops of other experienced teachers and lecturers from Slovakia and abroad, and thus widen your horizons.
