This course is a teacher training program focused on coaching skills; providing you with information, techniques, and suggestions on how to use coaching, facilitation, and mentoring practices in your work and beyond. A safe environment full of trust and empathy awaits you.
We designed this program so that participants not only learn new information and coaching techniques, but also get the opportunity to try it all out for themselves. The coaching techniques can be used to better engage students in the classroom, but can also be useful outside of the learning process. We will look at tools for mentoring other teachers so that trainees can create a culture of continuous learning and development around them. Learn the difference between teaching, mentoring, and coaching; and how to use appropriate facilitation techniques to get students more interested in learning.
Together we will practice techniques for creating a positive learning environment built on values, creativity, patience, and empathy. We will learn to incorporate activities that require and enhance sensory perception into the teaching process. Importantly, we'll repeatedly practice the skill of giving and receiving feedback, which is crucial for any personal growth.
We have carefully crafted the program to be "challenging" enough, but at the same time, you will go home relaxed, balanced, and with renewed inner strength. Over the course of the week you will have the opportunity to make deeper connections with other participants, explore different perspectives, and gain the courage to challenge yourself in new ways. While you are learning all kinds of new things about yourself, we of course also give you plenty of time and space for self-reflection. And all this in the beautiful and stimulating environment of the historical centre of Bratislava.
As a 2023 course participant said - "It is not only an eye opener, but also a heart opener."
At the end of the course you will receive the Certificate of Attendance and Europass Mobility document, or any other document your organisation/school requires to submit for applying Erasmus+ programme.
For all teachers of English and related subjects who want to refresh their knowledge, train their leadership abilities, and acquire new skills. The program is not just limited to educators, but is open to all individuals seeking to learn, work on personal growth, and gain coaching skills.

We interact with teachers, mentors, and coaches throughout our lives, and these are the people who play the greatest roles in shaping who we are. But what is the difference between teaching, coaching, and mentoring? How can we become teachers, coaches and mentors?
In this session not only will we look for answers to these questions but you'll also get tips to give your teaching a coaching twist.

I would highly recommend Mike as a professional coach. He helped me not only to improve my English coaching vocabulary, but also taught me several extremely helpful coaching methods and tools.
Mike is a great expert and a very kind person - he is enthusiastic, curious, creative, and does it all with a positive attitude. He treats clients like partners, trusts them and encourages their inputs. Mike also provides very useful resources and support which I appreciated greatly.
