Kate Kelly 16. September 2024 By kurzy Kate comes from the picturesque countryside of Galway, Ireland, where she grew up surrounded by rolling fields, cattle, and sheep on a family farm. From a young age, Kate developed a love for music and has mastered an impressive ten musical instruments. She also trained in karate and proudly holds a brown belt. An adventurer at heart, she is passionate about hiking, camping, and everything that brings her closer to nature. Kate is a polyglot who speaks English, Irish, Spanish, and German. She pursued her love for languages by studying Global Languages at university, which paved the way for her early career as a translator in the tourism sector. Working with people from diverse backgrounds ignited a passion in her for teaching and connecting with others on a deeper level. This led her to take the leap and move abroad to teach English. In 2023, Kate earned her CELTA qualification with a Pass B in Budapest and spent a transformative year teaching there. Her students ranged from the ages of 6 to 100, spanning various learning contexts including general, business, and diplomatic English in both individual and group settings. She thrives in the multicultural environment of her workplace, which fuels her excitement to connect with her students and colleagues every day. Kate’s journey reflects her love for languages, culture, and helping others grow, making her an inspiring and dedicated educator.
