Meet our exhibitors: Scholarship Program Alumni Association

At the Teachers’ Day 2025, you can also meet this non-profit organization and learn more about the scholarships they offer. This is their short introduction:

Our organization, Asociácia absolventov štipendijných programov (Scholarship Program Alumni Association) administers the Secondary School Scholarship Program in Slovakia.

The Secondary School Scholarship Program is a unique and longest-running program of its kind in Slovakia. Since 1993, over 300 scholarships have been awarded in cooperation with the program’s current partner organizations ASSIST and HMC.

The program allows excellent students to spend one or two school years at a private high school in the USA or Great Britain. 

The program has been administered by the Open Society Foundation (NOS-OSF) since 1993, and then, in 2019, it was transferred to the LEAF organization.

In 2023, in order for the program to continue operating in Slovakia, it was transferred under the auspices of its alumni organization.

The conference is a unique opportunity to reach out to the teachers of English who, for many years, have been key motivators and supporters of our applicants. We would like to make the program known to all the eligible students.

We are happy to visit interested schools and make a presentation about the opportunity.
