Yoga means “union”, the union of body, mind and soul and can have myriad benefits on the physical, mental and emotional level. All asanas, i.e.
yoga poses, can affect our muscles, organs, nerves and glands in a positive way and can either have a calming or energising effect on our body and mind. Combined with meditation, breathing exercises and relaxation, yoga allows us to do something good for our body and mind and bring more balance into our lives.
In this workshop, we will discuss the fundamentals of yoga, physical and mental wellbeing and how to use yoga to counteract the effects of sitting at a desk all day or a tiring and/or stressful day. This workshop includes group discussions, theoretical aspects and necessary precautions, key asanas and their benefits, and last but not least a demonstration of some poses, which you can do from our workspace or the comfort of your own home.
