The course focuses on equipping teachers across disciplines\u2014science, geography, languages, and more\u2014 with innovative, practical methods and tools to engage students in meaningful exploration of environmental issues, encouraging deep learning, reflection, proactive attitudes and behaviors toward achieving a sustainable future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop a deep understanding of key sustainability challenges including climate change, biodiversity loss, resource conservation, and waste reduction, including how to recognize and critically evaluate greenwashing &#8211; the misleading marketing of products or practices as environmentally friendly.<\/li>\n<li>Build instructional skills to design and facilitate participatory, project-based learning experiences that promote critical and system thinking and problem-solving.<\/li>\n<li>Applying\u00a0outdoor learning\u00a0and\u00a0fieldwork\u00a0methods that connect students with nature and ecosystems, linking activities to the local context through guided field trips to the Carpathians and\/or the Danube, where landscapes, biodiversity, and cultural settings become learning resources.<\/li>\n<li>Equip educators with innovative methodologies, digital tools, and multimedia resources to enrich sustainability education in various classroom settings.<\/li>\n<li>Methods for facilitating group discussions and debates, teaching students to articulate their views confidently and engage respectfully in environmental topics.<\/li>\n<li>Guided exploration of the\u00a0ethical and environmental impacts of AI technologies\u00a0and practical training in using AI tools to improve your\u00a0lesson planning,\u00a0student assessment, and\u00a0classroom management.<\/li>\n<li>Foster the ability to connect local environmental contexts with global sustainability frameworks, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and EU GreenComp.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How the course works:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The training is experiential and collaborative, with participants engaging in role plays, group problem-solving, site visits, and reflective discussions.
