In this course we will focus on all aspects of preparation for the English Baccalaureate. We realise that each of you has different strengths and weaknesses in your knowledge of a foreign language. That is why the course is set at a capacity of only eight places. In order to work effectively with each of you individually, we will work on what is needed. At the same time, we offer two options – preparation for the English Baccalaureate at both B1 and B2 level, so that you can prepare consistently, whether you are a mainstream or specialist school student.<\/p>\n
You will be actively communicating in English throughout the course. You will work with a range of up-to-date material, the topics of which may appear on the final exams. Also with the textbook YES! and many titles from Enigma Publishing, which are the gold standard in such preparation. We will also give you useful tips on what to focus on in preparation and what to look out for in both the written and oral parts of the matriculation exam.<\/p>\n
We have structured the course to take into account the progression of the matriculation examinations over time . In the first few weeks we will concentrate on preparing for the written part. You will practise writing essays, but also ‘listening’, ‘language in use’ and ‘reading comprehension’. Gradually we will focus more on the communication part. In class, you will try simulated oral matriculations, pulling out a random topic, describing a picture, having a conversation on the topic, and even staging a given situation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
