We invite English teachers around the world to come together and celebrate the life and legacy of Mario Rinvolucri \u2014 a visionary, a pioneer of Humanizing Language Teaching, and a beloved mentor to many. Join us for a discussion and teach a class inspired by his ideas.<\/strong><\/p>


Mario, who passed away in February 2025, spent his life reshaping how we understand teaching. He believed language learning should be deeply human \u2014 relational, personal, and alive. He challenged rigid coursebook approaches and advocated for creativity, authenticity, and emotional intelligence in the classroom. His work continues to inspire teachers around the globe.<\/p>

It would have been Mario\u2019s birthday. What better day to honour the man who taught us that teaching is more than information delivery \u2014 it\u2019s connection, presence, and growth?<\/p>

On June 9th, we invite you to:<\/p>

– teach a lesson inspired by Mario<\/strong>: Use one of his activities, ideas, or exercises. You\u2019ll find many on hlt.digital<\/strong><\/a>
– share a moment from your classroom <\/strong>on Instagram \u2013 a quote, a student\u2019s reaction, a photo (with permission), or even a short reflection on how Mario inspired your own work. Do not forget to tag us and we will reshare your story.

Mario\u2019s publications are a goldmine of creativity. Whether it\u2019s a storytelling activity, a moment of silent reflection, a grammar game that taps into emotion, or simply asking students \u201cHow are you really today?\u201d \u2014 you\u2019re already honouring his legacy.<\/p>
