Even if materials are locally produced by others or by ourselves, they might not speak to the realities of learners\u2019 lives. In this workshop, we will look at how to adapt, create and use materials in ways which make them more relevant to learners and therefore more engaging and useful.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>When:<\/strong>\u00a09th December, 5:00pm \u2013 6:00pm CET<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Where:<\/strong>&nbsp;Online\/ZOOM<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Speaker: Sandy Millin<\/h3><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sandy Millin is a highly experienced language teacher and teacher trainer who has worked in various countries, including Borneo, Paraguay, Czech Republic, Crimea, and the UK. She spent six years as the Director of Studies at International House Bydgoszcz in Poland, where she was responsible for teacher training and development.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sandy is also an active member of various professional organizations, including IATEFL, where she has presented at annual conferences since 2012, and MaWSIG, where she currently serves as the Joint Website Coordinator. She has also attended and presented at numerous local and international conferences and has conducted workshops and training sessions in many different contexts.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to her teaching and training work, Sandy is also a materials writer and has published several books, including the ELT Playbook series and an ebook of speaking activities called Richer Speaking.
