\n sustainED 2025\/2026 is a series of online events running from October 2025 to June 2026. It includes an online conference, seven webinars for teachers and school staff, and Mario Day 2026, an event inspired by the life and work of Mario Rinvolucri.\n <\/div>\n

Education for Sustainable Development<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n \n

Sustainability does not depend solely on individuals taking a responsible approach to the environment. It depends on society’s overall approach and behavior towards changes taking place in the climate, social relations, technology, and evolutionary development.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We can actively contribute to sustainability through education. Our language school is a member of Green Standard Schools<\/strong>, and this membership commits us to implementing green values into the everyday life of the school. This is reflected, for example, in the fact that we do not drive to work and prefer public transport or walking. We use eco-friendly cleaning products and cloth towels, we save energy and water, we cook with local ingredients, and we have our own composter.<\/p>\n

Sustainability is also defined in our organizational culture:<\/strong>
\n1. Training for the teaching and administrative teams<\/em>
\n2. The teaching process is focused on the individual<\/em> (HLT – humanizing language teaching<\/strong><\/a>)<\/p>\n

We support lifelong learning for our teaching and administrative teams, not only in terms of languages, but also in terms of developing skills that may not seem related to our work at first glance. We believe that any form of learning and cognitive development contributes to growth, community building, and a healthy ecosystem within the organization.<\/p>\n

Teaching is not just about language acquisition, it is a complex process of mutual enrichment, interaction, motivation, and inspiration. The focus is on the individual, their interests, personality, and background.<\/strong> These principles also apply to teachers, who play a key role in this whole process. That is why we have created this series of online conferences and webinars to create a stimulating space for sharing the experiences, tools, and techniques needed for a sustainable, responsible, and fulfilling approach to work.<\/p>\n

Online webinar take place once per month and are focused on sustainable teacher development. They cost 3,99 euros, including e-book\/worksheet and the recording of the webinar to be watched within two weeks after the webinar.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What does it mean in practice when a school is green and sustainable? Klaudia Bedn\u00e1rov\u00e1 and Jonathan Dykes will look at the whole spectrum of aspects, from small everyday decisions to broader institutional changes. The discussion will provide examples of good practice, such as networking, ambassadors, and vegetarianism, the challenges of implementing environmental measures, and the value of engaging with the wider community. The discussion will also address the question of whether small steps, such as using bamboo pens, make sense, and how artificial intelligence tools can support more environmentally friendly education.<\/em><\/p>\n

How can creative writing enrich language learning and professional growth for teachers? In this workshop, you will learn about the benefits of creative activities and how to naturally incorporate environmental topics into them. Through various types of exercises, participants will not only gain practical experience, but thanks to inspirational resources they can further develop skills and practice.
