The English course for advanced B2 students is in high demand and is therefore offered both online and in person, on different days and times. Every format aims to overcome your individual language weaknesses and develop all language skills. At B2 level, many students are already quite comfortable with spoken and written communication, can watch a film or podcast in English, and can handle discussion on topics close to their heart. However, they often lack confidence in expressing themselves, make grammatical mistakes, and can find longer conversations in English stressful. Writing an email can sometimes take longer due to uncertainty in the use of grammatical structures and tenses. Our General English course for B2 level is specifically designed to address these challenges.
The course will focus on improving your grammar, with an emphasis on correct use of tenses and more complex grammatical structures in a practical conversational setting to instill correct habits. Practice the speed and fluency of your English communication in a small group setting and with feedback from the tutor. In class, you'll enjoy a variety of practical exercises such as discussions, simulations of real situations, and work with authentic texts and audiovisual materials. You definitely won't get bored while your English becomes more fluent, richer, and more accurate.
We’ll also focus on improving your written communication skills so that you can write emails and other texts faster and with more confidence, alongside greatly increasing your capacity to watch and understand podcasts or videos in English for long periods of time without extreme effort, opening the way to further fluency in the language.
The course is designed for students who speak, listen, and write English at an intermediate level. However, they want to feel more confident using English in a variety of situations, to communicate correctly in both grammar and style, all without stress.
Kate comes from the picturesque countryside of Galway, Ireland, where she grew up surrounded by rolling fields, cattle, and sheep on a family farm. From a young age, Kate developed a love for music and has mastered an impressive ten musical instruments. She also trained in karate and proudly holds a brown belt. An adventurer at heart, she is passionate about hiking, camping, and everything that brings her closer to nature. Kate is a polyglot who speaks English, Irish, Spanish, and German. She pursued her love for languages by studying Global Languages at university, which paved the way for her early career as a translator in the tourism sector. Working with people from diverse backgrounds ignited a passion in her for teaching and connecting with others on a deeper level. This led her to take the leap and move abroad to teach English. In 2023, Kate earned her CELTA qualification with a Pass B in Budapest and spent a transformative year teaching there. Her students ranged from the ages of 6 to 100, spanning various learning contexts including general, business, and diplomatic English in both individual and group settings. She thrives in the multicultural environment of her workplace, which fuels her excitement to connect with her students and colleagues every day. Kate’s journey reflects her love for languages, culture, and helping others grow, making her an inspiring and dedicated educator.
